Sinds 2019 mag Jim Ryan zich de CEO van Sony Interactive Entertainment noemen. In deze rol zagen we hem regelmatig bi evenementen en beurzen, toch leren we nu dat hij de functie in maart 2024 neer zal leggen.
Voor een soepele transitie zal Hiroki Totoki volgende maand al in de rol van interim CEO stappen. Hij zal samen gaan werken met Kenichiro Yoshida, de CEO van Sony, en uiteindelijk zal er een permanente CEO van Sony Interactive Entertainment worden aangewezen.
Jim Ryan werkte al sinds 1994 binnen verschillende functies bij Sony. De reden dat hij stopt als CEO is omdat hij het lastig vond om in Europa te wonen, terwijl hij werkzaam was in Noord-Amerika.
