Met DiRT Showdown ontwikkelt Codemasters momenteel een nieuwe DiRT game welke in 2012 moet verschijnen. In de game legt Codemasters sterk de nadruk op de multiplayer en de sociale features, met onder andere split-screen party modes en online racing voor acht.
In de game kunnen we vijftig Trophies verdienen, waarvan één platina, drie gouden, acht zilveren en 38 bronzen.
