Na de release van ZombiU waren er al snel twee geruchten. De eerste vertelde ons dat er een sequel kwam, maar dit gerucht heeft vooralsnog geen bevestiging. Een ander gerucht was dat het origineel naar de PC, Xbox One en PlayStation 4 zou komen, een gerucht dat wél waarheid bleek. Het spel is vanaf 18 augustus verkrijgbaar, vandaag zijn al de achievements bekend gemaakt.
